Formerly the home farm of Captain Thomas James, the Welsh mariner famous for discovering the North West Passage in 1631, this spacious holiday let offers flexible accommodation over four floors. Laura designed this house as the ideal place to enjoy with friends and family and she moves in when her family are staying. The bedrooms are mostly en-suite and sleep up to 16 people (plus 4 in Z-beds). Each bedroom has a unique theme such as the White Castle Room, which naturally has a great view of this perfect example of a Norman castle, the Pink Flamingo Room with funky wallpaper or the Captain’s Bedroom, with its nautical memorabilia; so many of them could be described as the ‘master suite’. At the top of the holiday house is the Peacock Loft, with its magnificent freestanding bath and to some the most impressive bedroom of them all. Many of the beds offer the option to be made up as singles or doubles.
The ground floor is perfect as breakout space for multiple uses. The cinema room boasts a huge wall mounted screen with Sky TV to ensure you never need to miss the ‘big game’ or for a movie night in. The sitting room and dining room area have stunning open wood burning stoves. The kitchen is well equipped with Aga and range, plus 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers, wine cooler and a bar area to chat to the cook. A disco den is found in the old cellar, perfect for the ‘after party’ or as a games room with its darts board and table tennis. Outside is the hot tub with views over the Welsh mountains.
We are a dog friendly holiday let and are suitable for a stag or hen party house
If required, the space in The Farmhouse can facilitate a socially distanced holiday with each guest having their own en-suite bedroom. In addition, the smaller holiday cottage next door allows for a further 6 guests to be nearby you in their own holiday bubble.
